A Belgium-based research centre has become the latest member of the Evidence for Education Network (EEN).
Leerpunt, which was founded in 2022, aims to strengthen education practice in the Flanders region through rigorous research. Their model is based on the Education Endowment Foundation in England, and focuses on three pillars:
- Evidence informed work
- Practical exemplification
- Synthesising relevant educational research
They formalised their membership of the EEN by launching a translated and Teaching and Learning Toolkit for the Flemish educational context. The Toolkit is a summary of the best currently available evidence on different teaching and learning strategies and aims to support educators to make informed decisions.
The EEN is a global network dedicated to improving education equity through better use of evidence. Leerpunt is the ninth member, all of whom work to improve teaching and learning in their regions.
