- An Arabic evidence portal for educators and education professionals in Jordan – the Queen Rania Foundation
The Queen Rania Foundation (QRF) has developed a comprehensive Arabic evidence portal for teachers, principals and education professionals in Jordan with a focus on Arabic literacy.
For each approach included in the evidence portal QRF worked with knowledge specialists to agree inclusion and exclusion criteria for the searches and and then undertook regional specific evidence reviews to complement the global database. This saw the inclusion of a number of studies from the Middle East and North Africa.
With the additional evidence, QRF in partnership with Zayed University included region-specific studies and contextual information to assist implementation from stakeholder engagement activities and their knowledge of the education system. The evidence portal was also translated into Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) with support and advice from the main teaching academy in Jordan, Queen Rania Foundation Teaching academy to support accessibility.
This research project has been funded by the Education Endowment Foundation, in partnership with the BHP Foundation, as part of the “Building a global evidence ecosystem for teaching” project.
