Stu joined the EEF in February 2017, and has been involved in the development of the Research School Network and the EEF’s approach to mobilising evidence ever since. Drawing on his background around professional development, implementation and making change at scale, Stu has led the development of the EEF’s regional evidence mobilisation approach and shaped the EEF’s approach to Impact. More recently Stu has combined lessons from evidence mobilisation and his personal passion for the early years to help drive EEFs expanded activity in this area.
Before joining the EEF Stu spent 10 years at the Department for Education, providing policy advice on teachers’ professional development, evidence-based teaching, the use of teaching assistants, and primary pedagogy. Stu is based in North Yorkshire.
